The
One Song Project is the focal
point of the Peace in the Water
Global Peace Vigil
|
|
In
late August of 2008,
Chip Richards
of New
Earth Creations (& Peace
in the Water) and Nikita Gearing & Cornflower
of The
TONE ( & The Global Prayer Wave) came
together on a call to
explore a vision and
ideas they each had
been feeling around
Sound, Voice, the Peace
in the Water global
peace vigil, and global
participation in a sonic
prayer inspired by the
whales and the song
they sing each year
into the Oceans of our
planet.
Chip
then a few days later
hearing the inspired
guidance to name the
event the One Song
Project. Following
this clarity Nikita,
Cornflower & Chip
birthed the idea, format
and intention for the
One Song Project and
thus the foundation
and vision for the One
Song was birthed. Then
in early 2009 the decision
was made to unite the
One Song Project
with the Peace in
the Water Peace
Vigil on June 21st,
Chip being the Founder
of Peace in the
Water with his
wife Asheyana.
Little
did we know the powerful
indigenous significance
and ancient lineage
that this project would
tap into and align with,
a powerful prophecy
that would see ancient
wisdom uniting with
the modern day world
to assist the global
shift in consciousness
to Peace, Unity and
recognizing the interconnectedness
with all of life.

| Inspiration
for the Project |
|
It
is speculated that a
whale's song, if unimpeded
by landmasses could
circulate the globe
and return to its source.
Humpbacks have a song
that is deeply complex
and poetic with verse
and chorus, and much
like human music, it
constantly changes and
evolves over time. Science
has learned much about
their song, but one
unexplained fact remains,
even though the Humpback's
song is deeply poetic
and constantly changing
and the whales themselves
are spread across thousands
of miles, at any given
moment, ALL of the Humpbacks
of an entire region
are SINGING THE SAME
SONG.
This
is the essence of the
One Song project.
To align our energy
and voices across the
globe.
To rise up as ONE HUMAN
FAMILY and remember
how powerful we are
when we come together,
in PEACE, for the greater
good of all.
TO
LEARN ONCE AGAIN TO
SING THE SAME SONG - a song of Conscousness,
Peace, Unity & Honoring
all Life.
The
One Song Project is
an opportunity for the
world to unite in song
and celebration in gratitude
for our lives, with
the intentions of creating
Peace within the waters
of our living planet,
Peace within ourselves
and Peace within our
world.
The
One Song Project is
a sonic prayer supporting
Humanities Awakening
and remembering the
interconnectedness of
all of Life.
JOIN
US as we SING the ONE
SONG!!! |

|
Imagine
the whole world singing
the same song... at
the same time... together.
Like
a drop of water into
the ocean of Consciousness,
the One Song Project
is a sound and resonant
prayer that starts with
each of us and ripples
out around our world.
As we join together
to sing and share in
the 'One Song' we send
out a sonic wave to
all corners of the Earth,
into the depths of the
Ocean and all water
bodies, into the Mother
Earth and to all her
creatures, up into the
Sky and the heavens
and into Humanities
collective consciousness.
The One Song Project
is a global message
of Peace offered through
song focused on awakening
humanity to the interconnectedness
of all of Life.
THE
FOCUS
To bring our
awareness, presence
and sonic prayers together
and send them into the
oceans, the rivers,
the streams, into the
water of our Living
Planet. To send this
Song of Peace, Healing
& Gratitude to the
creatures of the Oceans,
the Waters, to remind
humanity of the preciousness
of all of life and to
unite together in a
resonance of Peace,
Consciousness and Oneness.
Water
is essential for all
of life, both our world
& our bodies a very
large percentage of
water. We depend on
water to survive. As we offer this One
Song into the Waters
of our living planet,
we also understand that
this prayer then ripples
out into our world,
into all creatures,
lands masses and peoples,
and resonates its Sonic
prayer into the waters
within our own bodies.
The
One Song Project also
brings a special focus
to our Sisters &
Brothers of the Water;
the Cetacean nation,
the many whales and
dolphins that continue
to hold a vibratory
resonance for Humanity
& our world.
The
One Song project is
the focus point of the Peace in the Water
Global Peace Vigil.

| The
Indigenous Significance
& Participation in
the One Song Project |
|
Quiet
a few months later,
in 2009 Chip was speaking
with Gina Lakosta,
who has deep connection
& understanding
of the local Aboriginal
culture and people of
the Byron Bay area.
(Byron Bay is the most
eastern point of Australia
and is considered a
very sacred area). Gina
explained to Chip the
significance of the
name ‘ONE SONG’,
there is a mountain
that lies very close
to Byron Bay, that is
the center point the
remains of a volcano
on which Byron Bay stands
on its outer rings.
Gina explained that
this mountain know as
Mt Warning in the modern
day, known as Wollumbin
as is aboriginal name,
also had another indigenous
name and that was ONE
SONG.
Gina
went on to explain that
the vision and intention
for the One Song project,
of receiving the yearly
Song from the whales
and then uniting this
with didgeridoo, flute
and the human voice
as a sonic prayer and
honoring was actually
very similar to an ancient
tradition that was practiced
by the local aboriginal
tribes.
Bunna
Lawrie, Song
man of the Mirning people
of South Australia,
also shared his wisdom
and insight in relation
to the One Song project
and how this is very
much in harmony with
the Aboriginal understanding
of the 'Creation Song'.
Below is an overview
of the information Bunna
shared with Chip.
Bunna
arrived into the project
with a calm profoundness,
introducing the energy
and essence of Mirdinjar,
or “Creation Song”...
A song that can be heard
in the whispers of the
breeze and the call
of the eagle... The
dance of light on water
and song of whales.
It is a song that is
all around and within
us, though often forgotten
and drowned out in this
modern world. Bunna’s
role as song man is
to bring this song of
creation back to the
people. To remind us
why we are here through
our dreaming and communion
with the natural world.
Bunna (who stars in
the recent Australian
feature documentary,
Whale Dreamers) has
brought wonderful energy,
wisdom and music to
the creation of the
One Song and he will
play live with is band,
The Whale Dreamers,
at the live anchor event
in Byron Bay. (Written
by Chip Richards)
Luis
Walker, an
aboriginal elder from
the Widjimbul
people offered his gifts
into the 'One Song.
As we prepared for the
first annual One Song
Project Luis
Walker completing
a powerful offering
to be added as the base
layer of the One Song
itself.
Gina
Lakosta went on to explain
that Luis is and what
his people’s relationship
with the land and the
whales is. In essence,
she shares that Luis
is a “Law Man”
of his tribe –
the Widjimbul people.
His role and the prophecy
of him is to be a bridge
between the wisdom and
way of his people and
the western world. In
effect he has been chosen
to share essence of
Creation Song with the
wider world with the
purpose of bringing
unity once again to
the tribes. His people
still live very very
close to the land. Their
relationship with Mother
Earth is very very real
and deep. This song
for him is quite literally
a tender sharing between
him and his grandmother,
the great Whale. There
is no separation of
species in his being.
He is singing a song
with, to and for his
grandmother. Yiragir
(pronounced “Yirigi”)
is spoken a few times
in the track. This is
the name of the great
White Whale who is the
Creator in many of their
creation stories. (Written
