| Gina
Lakosta |
Gina
is the Australian OSP
anchor event co-director
and "Yiragir"
track used within the
'One Song co-director.
Gina Lakosta has been
an incredible source
of inspiration, wisdom,
indigenous and Divine
connection throughout
the dreaming and creation
of the One Song music
and Byron Bay anchor
event. She has lead
us on a deep path into
the heart of this land
of First Light Dreaming
and has provided doorways
of communion and co-creativity
with the elders, musicians,
media, the land and
WHALES themselves. A
deeply in-tune poet
and active steward of
Mother Earth, Gina’s
presence in the One
Song team has rippled
waves of positive light
through the whole project. |
| Luis
Walker |
Luis
Walker offers a special
gift to this years project
with offering of Sacred
chant, spoken words,
didgeridoo, clapping
sticks in this powerful
'Yiragir' song.
Luis
Walker, an aboriginal
elder from the Widjimbul
people of Byron Bay,
NSW, Australia.
In
essence Luis is a “Law
Man” of his tribe
– the Widjimbul
people. His role and
the prophecy of him
is to be a bridge between
the wisdom and way of
his people and the western
world. In effect he
has been chosen to share
essence of Creation
Song with the wider
world with the purpose
of bringing unity once
again to the tribes.
His people still live
very very close to the
land. Their relationship
with Mother Earth is
very very real and deep.
This song for him is
quite literally a tender
sharing between him
and his grandmother,
the great Whale. There
is no separation of
species in his being.
He is singing a song
with, to and for his
grandmother. Yiragir
(pronounced “Yirigi”)
is spoken a few times
in the track. This is
the name of the great
White Whale who is the
Creator in many of their
creation stories. You can listen to the
full 'Yiragir' song
on the media page: click
here

| Bunna
Lawrie |
| Bunna
Lawrie, Song man of the
Mirning people of South
Australia.
Bunna
arrived into the project
with a calm profoundness,
introducing the energy
and essence of Mirdinjar,
or “Creation Song”...
A song that can be heard
in the whispers of the
breeze and the call
of the eagle... The
dance of light on water
and song of whales.
It is a song that is
all around and within
us, though often forgotten
and drowned out in this
modern world. Bunna’s
role as song man is
to bring this song of
creation back to the
people. To remind us
why we are here through
our dreaming and communion
with the natural world.
Bunna (who stars in
the recent Australian
feature documentary,
Whale Dreamers) has
brought wonderful energy,
wisdom and music to
the creation of the
One Song and he will
play live with is band,
The Whale Dreamers,
at the live anchor event
in Byron Bay.
Bunna's
Song and his spirit
has been deeply woven
into all that has occured
within Australia for
the OSP. His own expression
of Creation Song will
be sung throughout the
event here in Byron
Bay and soon will be
shared on the OSP website.
The day we recorded
Bunna with “Doctor
Didge” Arpana
playing didge at Arpana’s
stuido, was an absolute
turning point for the
creation of the song.
It was one of those
synchronistic moments
that we could never
have imagined in advance,
which allowed us to
begin the One Song recording
process. Two days later,
the Yiragir song was
recorded and in hindsight,
it feels as though Bunna
– who is a true
Whale Dreaming Song
Man of the Mirning Tribe
– opened the gateway
for the whales and humanity
to connect in sound
and begin. |
| Goa
Lobaugh |
Goa
Lobaugh - offered his Didgeridoo to
the One Song
Thank
you Goa for your heart,
passion, focus and deep
support of the One Song
Project. Your sacred
music created a sound
bridge between the Indigenous
sounds and sonic prayers
and the global community.
Thank you also for your
intuitive connection
between yourself and
the indigenous peoples
of Australia. A special
thank you also to Goa's
wife Shanti
Lobaugh for
your love & support
of the project and for
supporting Goa sharing
his gifts on the One
Song.
Goa
found his connection
with the didgeridoo
through an interest
in dream-time. "I
feel the didge is a
healing instrument,
blending vibrations
with the universal field...
I play to connect with
that field, and to flow
with it's healing grace...
for myself, and everyone...
I feel blessed to have
found it as a creative
expression." Goa is also a digitial
effects artist, producer,
and founder of liquidbuddha.studios,
a visual effects and
animation studio in
Ashland, Oregon.

| Dan
Schrieber |
Owner
of the Star Seed Water
Gardens, host of the
Australian One Song
Solstice Celebration
- Whale and Water Blessing.
What Dan is creating
at Star Seed is truly
a template for sacred
gathering and co-creativity
in the New Earth. We
are grateful for his
support and visionary
impulses around the
project and for offering
to provide a space for
us to build a CENTER
FOR HUMAN – CETACEAN
COMMUNION and RESEARCH
on his land. Proceeds
of the anchor event
will go toward sparking
this project and we
look forward to the
possibiltiies of one
day having a global
center for the ONE SONG
and Peace in the Water
projects here in Byron
Bay. |
Elvina
Munir of Celestial Dreaming |
Along
with playing stunningly
beautiful Navaho flute
throughout the beginning
and end sections of
the One Song, Elvina
has played a wonderful
energetic and logistical
piece in building the
Australian anchor event
in Byron Bay. And we
are honored to have
Elvina and harpist Daeva
Skye performing as Celestial
Dreaming during the
Solstice Celebration
at Star Seed Gardens.
Their music is an improvised
creation produced entirely
with acoustic instruments.
This fresh approach
to creating meditative
ambience instills in
the listener a sense
of relaxation and well
being induced by the
natural harmonics of
these “organic”
sounds. |

| Lisa
Walker |
Lisa
is “a composer
and musician fascinated
by the possibility of
music existing in other
species. I was first
introduced to Humpback
Whales in 1996 when
I joined a research
team in southeast Alaska
studying the acoustics
of this animal. It was
thought that with my
classical music background
I might be able to identify
subtle patterns in the
acoustic activity of
the whales that were
not readably evident
to the scientist.” Lisa Walker who recorded the Hawaii
Humpback whalesong used
within the One Song,
thank you Lisa for generously
offering this sacred
Northern Hemisphere
whale song.

“Doctor
Didge Arpana”
and Shimanatara |
“Doctor
Didge Arpana”
and Shimanatara offered
the Southern Hemisphere
Humpback whalesong recording
that was used in the
One Song. The whalesong
was recorded by Arpana
and Shimanatara last
year in Hervey Bay,
Australia. They have
been recording whalesong
every year for many
years and the whales
song represented here
is the most recent expression
of their ever-evolving
song.
